At Noteworthy AI, our mission is to improve the reliability, resiliency, and safety of the electric grid. Our vehicle-mounted cameras and AI help utilities and other grid operators increase their situational awareness of their assets while reducing costs. Our platform autonomously geolocates, photographs, and analyzes grid infrastructure as vehicles drive during routine operations, enabling more proactive grid management.

About you

You’re an experienced, results-driven sales professional who thrives in fast-paced environments. You’re excited about the opportunity to help modernize the energy grid with AI-powered solutions, and you understand the unique challenges utilities face in today’s rapidly evolving energy landscape.

You’re adept at identifying and qualifying leads, building relationships with key decision-makers, and effectively communicating the value of complex, innovative solutions. You’re also a collaborative team player, comfortable working alongside both technical teams and executive leadership to ensure successful outcomes for our customers.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead Sales Growth: Drive customer acquisition by targeting investor-owned, municipal, and cooperative utilities across North America. Build and execute a pipeline strategy to identify new business opportunities.
  • Foster Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with utility decision-makers, including executives, operations teams, and technical leaders. Help utilities understand how our AI-driven solutions can address their specific challenges and improve grid operations.
  • Manage the Sales Cycle: Own the end-to-end sales process, from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and deal closure. Develop proposals, presentations, and other materials to clearly communicate the value of our platform.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with the product, technical, and customer success teams to understand customer needs, tailor solutions, and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.
  • Attend Industry Events: Represent Noteworthy AI at key industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events. Engage with potential clients and partners to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Track and Report Sales Activities: Use CRM tools (such as HubSpot) to manage and track your sales activities, keeping leadership informed of pipeline progress and providing insights into market trends and customer needs.
  • Contribute to Marketing & Strategy: Provide feedback to the marketing and product teams based on customer interactions, market feedback, and competitive analysis. Help refine messaging and develop strategies to address evolving market demands.
  • Exceed Sales Targets: Develop a strategy to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas. Focus on building a sustainable pipeline while driving rapid adoption of Noteworthy AI solutions across the utility sector.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record in the energy or utilities sector. Experience in selling hardware-enabled technologies, SaaS, and/or AI-driven solutions is a strong plus.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the energy industry, particularly utilities, grid modernization, asset management, and smart grid technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable presenting to executives and technical teams, and capable of tailoring the message to different audiences.
  • Sales Experience: Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and closing deals with large, enterprise-level clients.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers in the utility sector.
  • Tech-Savvy: A strong understanding of technology and the ability to effectively communicate the value of AI-powered solutions. Bonus points if you have experience in data analytics, AI, or machine learning.
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar to track and manage sales activities.
  • Problem-Solver: A strategic thinker who can identify customer pain points and provide tailored solutions that address those challenges.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
